Northland Bark Mulch is pleased to be able to pass along recently realized transportation savings to our customers due to the efforts and persistence of Maine Senator Susan Collins and her work to finally secure common sense truck weight reform. The new law she got passed through Congress allows us to run our trucks on the entire interstate system in Maine, avoiding the economic disadvantage of being forced onto Maine's secondary roads. We are confident that we will be able to reduce our fuel consumption, improve the efficiency of our labor costs and minimize the costly wear and tear on our equipment that all would have otherwise been eaten up by the recent increase in the cost of diesel fuel. It is very important to us to recognize Senator Collins for her extreme tenacity and hard work on this issue that has been almost 30 years in the making. Pickup Hours - April thru June *the above pricing is subject to a 1 yard minimum charge and includes one free loading per invoice at the Northland Yard in costigan (5 miles above Old Town). Above prices are per cubic yard and are subject to change without notice. Maine sales tax will be charged on all sales unless the customer supplies a Tax Exempt Certificate at the time of purchase. Customer accepts responsibility for requesting the number of yards to be loaded on a customer supplied vehicle and accepts liability for any damage or fines resulting from overloading.
